Back in the US after two weeks in Europe. Such an incredible time, but unfortunately not much was written about it as my computer was out of commission during the voyage. But I can try to make up the entries after the fact, as adventures past deserve to have their entries made up afterward. Exciting news - I’ve been offered the position in Friday Harbor. Until then, there’s more travel planned: to Burning Man, the East Coast, Portland, then up to San Juan for forty days of on-island quarantine. I’m currently looking for housing during that time. This is a great change and a really good fit for me - we’ll see how it goes. So, I’ve arranged a ride from RNO airport to Burning Man tomorrow; I suppose I should also plot an escape route. After that I’ll head for New York, and Cape Cod via the waterways of the Eastern Seaboard. So far everything has been *on* during this ‘Escape from Alcatraz’ summer travel schedule. The job even lands right before the September 21st deadline. I suppose now that I’m back in USA with a job on the horizon, my thoughts are beginning to turn back to money, saving and budgeting. This will make for a good transition, as beginning September I must continue to hold my own and get a foothold on the Island. But for the moment there are over two weeks of travel and visits ahead before locking down on San Juan.
