021-Seattle

pugetsound.jpgLeisure suits me. Suddenly, it does! Last night at the Bizquik function I had a good time dolled up in my historic outfit, which matched the venue. The people there were friendly, sharp, and even more fun than their online profiles suggested. I’m not sure how I did; probably talked too much, answering questions OK but not always coming up with a good reciprocal question to bring out the best of my fellow conversant. Afterward, I strolled the streets of Seattle for a while, locating my bank and dropping in the loot. Today felt like the travel industry stock market floor - buy, buy, BUY! I clunked down on series of travel bookings and a Global You’reRailed Pass. From there, my thoughts went to Burning Man, and back to Bizquik - both are greening me out at the moment… in a good way, but the topic sometimes makes my head hurt! They can count on me for more than my 2 cents’ worth; I posted my final meditation to the Bizquik Sustainability thread. After all this, I hadn’t hardly moved except to walk Paco and begin to prep my recycling. I’ve been hoarding all my waste, and with this green talk going crazy, they’ll be looking in my trash bins for sure! Just kidding - but I wonder how to turn a ‘greener than thou’ mentality into a ‘exponential community greenage model’ - in my own mind at least. It’s great that the topic is on everyone’s tongues - but who’s looking under the hood? I’d like to be that person. Tomorrow - toil. Yes, toil, working those long but shrinking days of the harvest in the field.
