Change Money. Walk toward Gran Via. Turn left. The bank is on the left near the gyros place. For small amounts, it’s better to go to the Cambio. For larger amounts, go to the Caija. When changing money, note the rates and ask about fees. Hours normally 8:30am-1:30pm.
Buy Metro Pass. Enter Madrid Metro Tribunal. Buy single tourist day pass at station booth for E3.80. Booths open 6am-1:30am. Enter Tribunal line (1) toward Pinar de Chamartin. Change at Sol. Take line (2) toward La Elipa. Exit Banco de Espana.
Visit Museo Naval. Always free. Sats & Suns 10am-2pm. Enter Banco de Espana Metro. Take line (2) toward Cuatro Caminos. Change at Opera. Take (5) toward Casa de Campo. Exit at La Latina.
Visit Museo del San Isidro (Calle el Toledo, Plaza Mayor).
Buy lunch items at supermarket: small vino rigo, sandwich with cheese, chocolate depostres, flan. Enter La Latina Metro with lunch items. Take line (5) toward Alamada de Osuna. Change at Opera. Take (R) line to Principe Pio. Change to line (10) toward Puerta del Sur. Stop at Lago.
Have lunch and a siesta at the lake. Enter Lago Metro. Take line (10) toward Hospital del Norte. Change at Tribunal to (1) toward Valdecarros. Stop at Atocha.
Visit Reina Sofia. Guernica on 2nd Floor.
Visit Museo del Prado. Enter Atocha Metro. Line (1) toward Chamartin. Change at Sol. Line (3) toward Moncloa. Stop at Ventura Rodriguez.
Visit Templo de Debod and Plaza de Espana. Enter Plaza de Espana Metro. Take (10) toward Hospital al Norte. Change at Tribunal. Take (1) toward Valdecarros. Stop at Gran Via.
Visit El Tigre Bar. Enter Gran Via Metro. Take (1) toward Pinar de Chamartin. Stop at Bilbao.
